After her first summer at UCLA Law, Naomi worked as a public interest law clerk for the Eastern Band of Cherokee Tribal Court; as a summer law clerk for Sonosky, Chambers, Sachse, Endreson & Perry, LLP, (www.sonosky.com), an Indian law firm representing specifically tribal interests; and recently as a summer law clerk for the Native American Rights Fund (www.narf.org) on the Tribal Supreme Court Project where she engaged in intensive legislative analysis regarding Carcieri v. Kempthorne, cert granted before the Supreme Court.

Naomi is Ho-Chunk and Menominee.  She is an avid performer of Native American dance, specializing in women’s fancy shawl, on the powwow circuit.  Naomi also regularly performs for several dance groups, including American Indian Dance Theatre, ThunderBeing Dancers; and Bronitsky and Associates, LLC, with whom she recently toured Australia.  Naomi also possesses a great love of American Indian art and is an accomplished beadworker.
